New Young Families Ministry

In 2010, MBC will be launching a new ministry to focus on families with young children (aged 0 to 12ish). Our aim is to spiritually grow and encourage Christian parents through reading God's word and praying together. We will also run social activities where families can invite their friends to meet other christians and to hear about Jesus.

We understand that this stage in life can make it difficult to commit to a growth group, but we are encouraging parents to commit to a group as a couple and aim to have at least one parent go each week. For some this might mean that parents alternate weeks, for some it may mean alternate months, for some (with great babysitters!) it may mean going together each week - whatever suits you best.

Initially we will be running 3 growth groups - Tuesday night at the Smith's in Bangor, Wednesday night at the Pidgeon's in Menai and Wednesday night at the Baillie's in Alfords Point. We hope to start others during the year.

We will also be arranging prayer triplets so that each person can care, and be cared for, by two other Christians. We will encourage prayer triplet's to meet fortnightly either in person, via phone or email.

At the BBQ lunch, parents will be given the opportunity to sign up for one of these growth groups and/or a prayer triplet. We will also announce some of the activities we have planned for later in the year.
