Inaburra preschool was established by Menai Baptist Church in 1969, as a ministry to young families of the local community. The preschool opened on the 16th February 1970.
Inaburra is an aboriginal name meaning “dream”. Menai Baptist Church chose the name Inaburra as they “have a dream for Christ and a dream for meeting people’s needs”.
Inaburra preschool is a not for profit preschool licensed by the Department of Education and Communities. We are licensed to take 60 children per day, aged 3-5 years. Children can attend preschool for 2 or 3 days per week. We have three rooms of 20 children per day with 3 staff in each room. Each room is staffed by a University Trained Early Childhood teacher and trained child care workers.
The Preschool is managed by a Board that consists of representatives from Menai Baptist Church, two parent representatives and the preschool director. The preschool is open 9.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday and operates within the NSW Department of Education school terms.
