SUMMARY:State Youth Camp 2024
DESCRIPTION:We would love for MBC Youth to join us for a weekend at State Youth Camp (SYC)! It is going to be a great weekend as we get to know each other more\, have a heap of fun\, dive into God’s word\, spend time doing activities and encounter Jesus. \nSYC is a camp for high schoolers to gather to learn more about God\, his word & what difference it makes to life. It runs every year at the end of Term 3 at Cataract Scout Park. \nThis year the theme for the weekend is ‘Hold Tight’\, and how we might hold tight to our faith and share that with others. More information can be found at https://stateyouthcamp.org.au/  \nWHO: Highschoolers Year 7 – 12\nWHEN: Friday 27 September – Monday 30 September\nWHERE: Cataract Scout Park\, Appin. SUMMARY:MBC 50+ Train to Kiama Outing
DESCRIPTION:Our 50+ Adults are going on a train trip to Kiama! \nWe’ll start the day by at 8.50am at Sutherland station (catch the 9.01am train platform 2). This is a lovely (1hr 50min) train trip passing beautiful scenery along the coast. \nAt Kiama\, we will do a short walk and check out the lighthouse\, blowhole\, quaint and historic buildings etc\, then find somewhere for lunch. \nThere is a great variety of reasonably priced eating places along Terralong Street from cafes and take away\, to the Leagues Club (cnr Terralong and Collins) or bring a picnic to have in the Hindmarsh Park. \nAfter lunch\, we can walk back to the station and return home. \n\n1.56pm Kiama gets to Sutherland 3.43pm OR\n3.05pm Kiama gets to Sutho 4.43pm (fast) OR\n3.56 Kiama gets to Sutho 5.43pm\n\nThose up for a longer walk may like to walk to Bombo (about 4km ) for a look around and catch a later train back to Sutherland from Bombo station. (maps available) \nIn the event of unexpected trackwork we will organise a car pool amongst those wanting to attend. Its just over an hour’s drive from Sutherland.
