SUMMARY:MBC 50+ Cooks River Walk & Picnic
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 22 March – 10am to 2pm – for a walk and picnic in Gough Whitlam Park. Invite your friends! \nThis walk is mostly flat\, 4km\, partial shade\, but the path is shared with bicycles so can be busy. \nOn the day: \n\nMeet at Gough Whitlam Park Carpark at 10am.\nWe will walk west along Cooks River and back to Gough Whitlam Park for lunch.\nPicnic lunch (BYO everything) at Gough Whitlam Park\, hopefully around 12- 12.30pm.\nAfter lunch\, pack up and return home or continue to explore Wolli Ck and the other walks in this interesting area. Wolli Creek station is about 2km (30 mins walk)\n\nNote: There is a small coffee & sandwich shop near the bridge on Illawarra Rd (we’ll will be near it just before the end of our walk back to the park for our picnic lunch). It’s about 15 mins walk from the park. This was the closest food/coffee we found to the park. \nPlease register below if you would like to attend! \n
