Our 50+ Adults are going on a train trip to Kiama!
We’ll start the day by at 8.50am at Sutherland station (catch the 9.01am train platform 2). This is a lovely (1hr 50min) train trip passing beautiful scenery along the coast.
At Kiama, we will do a short walk and check out the lighthouse, blowhole, quaint and historic buildings etc, then find somewhere for lunch.
There is a great variety of reasonably priced eating places along Terralong Street from cafes and take away, to the Leagues Club (cnr Terralong and Collins) or bring a picnic to have in the Hindmarsh Park.
After lunch, we can walk back to the station and return home.
Those up for a longer walk may like to walk to Bombo (about 4km ) for a look around and catch a later train back to Sutherland from Bombo station. (maps available)
In the event of unexpected trackwork we will organise a car pool amongst those wanting to attend. Its just over an hour’s drive from Sutherland. Information will be distributed to those interested.
